  1. Dismount the main bord from the dashboard.
  2. Dismount the printed circuit board with the two big resistors and connect the cabling in place of the little board.
  3. Cut the trace going from pin n.19 of the microprocessor to pin n.10 of the chip marked 74HC14T (see X point , in the following picture).
  4. Short the pads n° 4 e n° 6.
  5. Connect one (only one) of the two probes to the pin 19 of the microprocessor (see schematic).
  6. If a microprocessor marked ZC408905CFN or ZC422061CFN is mounted on the board, it is necessary to raise the microprocessor’s pin n.22 (to do this, you can use a solder and a ): ti is important to disconnect the pin from the printed circuit board. When the pin has been detached, connect the second probe to the raised pin n.22 itself (see schematic).
  7. Remember: when programming is completed, restore the connection of the pin n.22 to the circuit board (use the solder).

  8. Connect the cable to the green socket
  9. Modify the data:

Important: when the KM RECOVER III displays "connect the probe", you have to solder the microprocessor’s pin n.19 one (only one) of the two proceb, independently on the microprocessor type; only if the microprocessor is marked ZC408905CFN or ZC422061CFN, when the KM RECOVER III displays "connect the probe", you have to connect the second probe too.

  1. Identify on the printed circuit board the test points (TP) marked with a red circle in the following picture. Connect a wire on the GND1 and on the TX points; connect a 560 ohm resistor on the GND2 point; connect the two wires and the free pin of the resistor to the programming cable (it is the same cable of the Lancia Y and Fiat Marea). (IMORTANT NOTE: all the ground pins MUST be connected together).
  2. Apply the power supply to the dashboard through the +12V and the –12V pins of the the green connector (see the conneclor layout in the following picture). The power supply comes directly from the programming cable.
  3. After having connected the dashboard to the KM RECOVER III:

Note: after the connection to the dashboard, the display of the programmer always shows the "000000" value.

  1. Identify on the printed circuit board the test points (TP) marked with a red circle in the following picture. Connect a wire on every point and connect the programming cable (it is the same cable of the Lancia Y and Fiat Marea) to the corresponding points.

It is possible to RESET the km indicator and then increment the value (using the pulse generator), until the desired va\\km valeu is reached

The same procedure applies to the FIAT BRAVA <’96 car.

  1. FIGURE N°1: A) Disconnect the resistor inside the red rectangle in the picture. (VERY IMPORTANT: restore the connection of the resistor at the end of the procedure). B) Raise (disconnect) the microprocessor’s pin indicated in the picture (it is the fifth pin from the bottom), connect the pin itself to the point indicated in the same figure.
  2. FIGURES N°1 and N°2: Identify the test points (TP) indicated in figures n°1 and n°2; connect the wires and the resistors where necessary (for the resistors, use the values indicated in the pictures). Execute the bridge indicated in figure n.2. Connect the programming cable (it is the same used for Lancia Y and Fiat Marea) to the wires and the free pins of the resistors.
  3. Apply the power supply to the dashboard using the programming cable and following the indications in figure n.2.
  1. After having connected the dashboard to the KM RECOVER III:

Note: after the connection to the dashboard, the display of the programmer always shows the "000000" value.

  1. Cut the trace on the printed circuit board coming from (and near) the pin n.10 of the 74HCT14D chip, as indicated in the following figure. Cut the trace on the printed circuit board coming from (and very near) the pin n.22 of the del microprocessor.
  2. Identify the test points (TP) indicated in the following figure, then connect the wires and the resistors, the value of which is indicated in the same figure.
  3. ATTENTION: in this case you must connect some wires DIRECTLY on the microprocessor’s pins. Connect the programming cable (it is the same used for Lancia Y and Fiat Marea) to the wires and the free pins of the resistors.

  4. DO NOT APPLY THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE DASHBOARD
  1. After having connected the dashboard to the KM RECOVER III:

Note: after the connection to the dashboard, the display of the programmer always shows the "000000" value.
